Using the MV/LV neighbourhood approach, we are strengthening the power grid together with the grid operators, one neighbourhood after another. We upgrade or install transformer cabins and lay new low and medium voltage cables. This ensures neighbourhoods will be future-proof on an energy level and that everyone can continue to rely on sufficient capacity for both consumption and power feed-in back into the grid.

What are the steps of our neighbourhood approach?
Selection of neighbourhoods
As a grid operator, you determine which neighbourhoods have the greatest need for reinforcement. Your analysis is based on expected growth in electricity consumption and local sustainability plans.
Planning and implementation
Once you have made your choice, Circet develops a concrete implementation plan. Our specialist teams work neighbourhood by neighbourhood according to plan:
- We lay thicker cables that can handle higher current capacity and we resolve voltage problems.
- Where necessary, we install additional transformer cabins, which reduces the strain on existing installations and prepares the neighborhood for future demand.
Coordination and environment management
To ensure the project work can be carried out smoothly and to mitigate nuisance, we coordinate processes closely with local residents, municipalities, housing associations, water authorities and all other stakeholders. This creates support and keeps the project on track.
